Latch stitch seems not to be as popular as years ago, I remember my mother making rag rugs by using sacking and strips of rags and the hook tool they were very hard wearing. Things have moved on and you can buy the kits with the hook, wool and canvas with the printed design on. These kits are easy to do and time consuming but a warm feeling of achievement when completed.
